This week is the second week I transferred from Western Sydney University to the University of Technology of Sydney. During these two weeks of learning in UTS, I found a problem that’s really confused me. Some of my subjects have both lecture and tutorial, however, there is a weird thing that my lectures are always after my tutorials. Since that, I always confused during my tutorial. I asked some of my classmates, and they told I don’t need to follow my timetable exactly. I can go to any lecture I want to go and check the timetable of lecture in allocate+. After I got this information in the second week of my session, I will try to find out in the third week. Hope it will help and also, I will ask the student centre to check if they can figure out for me or change my timetable incorrect way. What is more, during these two weeks learning in UTS, I found out all people in UTS have a warm heart. All of the staffs and students there are very kind. When I ask questions during class and after class, my classmates always help me to figure out these problems and I never find any racism around campus. Nobody cares where you came from and which language you use during your daily life. Actually, I’m not very confident about my English. However, students in all the subjects I enrolled help me a lot. They try to be patient and talk slowly during we have a conversation. That really makes me feel comfortable. Since that, I really believe I can improve my communication and English speaking skill very fast.

The second week also gave me a lot of problems with my subjects. All of them are really interesting and attractive. My favourite subject is the Introduction of Civil Engineering. I learned how to read a diagram and map. What is more, I feel that I’m doing what an engineer does in this class. That’s the reason I make it my favourite. Also, during second-week learning, I find communication is a very important part of an engineer. Different people have different skills and as an engineering group, we have to communicate about ourselves and know each group member’s skill. After that, it’s easy to figure out problems.
