Reflection 1: Apply principles of sustainability to create viable systems

I interned at Risland Real Estate as a Project assistant. The project I was involved in at the time was the company's on-site development project in Wilton Green. I am mainly responsible for reviewing the drawings submitted by the builder.

In my past drawing review work, I played an important role and contributed to the smooth progress of the project. First, I played a vital role in the drawing review process. I carefully read and analyzed the drawings' technical details, specification requirements, and design intentions to ensure their accuracy and consistency. I have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of construction, structure and M&E and can identify potential issues or conflicts during the review process and propose sound solutions.

Secondly, I worked closely with the project team and participated in drawing review meetings. I raised constructive questions and suggestions at meetings and conducted full discussions and exchanges with team members. I pay attention to technical details and the feasibility and effectiveness of the overall project. I thoroughly evaluated the design options in the drawings to ensure they met the project goals and client needs.

In addition, I am responsible for coordinating the opinions and requirements of various disciplines during the drawing review process. I communicate and negotiate effectively with architects, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, etc., to resolve conflicts and coordination issues between disciplines. I can grasp project progress and priorities, arrange work reasonably, and ensure that drawing reviews can be completed on time and meet quality requirements.

Finally, I demonstrated high responsibility and professionalism during the drawing review work. I always maintain a high degree of concentration and meticulous work attitude, ensuring that every drawing is inspected and evaluated. I take the initiative to learn and understand the latest design standards and technical requirements and constantly improve my professional knowledge and skills to support the smooth progress of the project.

Overall, my role in drawing reviews is not just as a reviewer but as a partner and problem solver. Through my efforts and contributions, I provided strong support for the successful implementation of the project and ensured the quality and integrity of the drawings.
